Another American has been killed in the Russian bombing of Ukraine, US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln said on the 17th.
“I can assure you that one American citizen has been killed,” Blincoln said at his press briefing.
However, he said “I dont have any further details”.
Chernivu police in northern Ukraine said an American was among the civilian victims of Russian shelling this morning.
CNN reported that the American killed was James Whitney Hill, a native of Minnesota, who was born in 1954, an aide to the Ukrainian Interior Minister said.
Governor Viacheslav Chaus Chernivu said 53 civilians had been killed in Russian attacks in the past 24 hours in the area.
But Russia denies the bombings aimed at civilians.
Earlier, on the 13th, a former New York Times video reporter was killed in an attack by Russian forces in Arfin, northwest of the capital, Kiiu.
