According to the United Nations Office for Human Rights, between 4:00 a.m. on the 24th of last month and 0:00 on the same day, when Russia invaded Ukraine, there were 780 civilian deaths in Ukraine. This included 58 children.
During the same period, the number of civilians injured stood at 1,522, including 68 children. Most of those killed and wounded were killed by explosive weapons with large areas of impact, including artillery shells and multiple rocket systems.
The UN Human Rights Office expressed concern that the actual number of casualties could be higher than this, as information reception and confirmation are delayed in areas with intense fighting.
