A few days ago, BrandFinance, a well-known British brand management and brand evaluation independent consultancy, released the “Telecoms 150 2020” annual report. Among the top ten most valuable telecom infrastructure brands in the world, four Chinese manufacturers were shortlisted, with Huawei and ZTE as the main players. Equipment manufacturers, as well as Hengtong and Zhongtian, two manufacturers in the optical communication segment.
The report shows that Huawei continues to dominate the ranking, with a brand value of US$71.233 billion and a brand strength index of 82.0 out of 100. ZTE ranked fifth with a brand value of US$3.675 billion; Hengtong Optoelectronics ranked ninth with a brand value of US$858 million; Zhongtian Technology ranked 10th with a brand value of US$725 million.
In addition, world-renowned telecom infrastructure companies, including Cisco, Nokia, Qualcomm, Ericsson, Corning, and Juniper Networks, are also on the list.
At the same time, the agency pointed out that although Huawei’s business has been hit hard by U.S. sanctions and many other countries around the world have followed suit, Huawei’s global influence remains strong. Currently, Huawei operates in 170 countries, and more than 3 billion people around the world use the brand’s products and services.
