A video showed a Russian armored vehicle being bombarded by Ukrainian forces and destroyed in an instant.
The Azov Battalion, a special forces unit belonging to the Ukrainian National Guard, posted on Telegram on the 14th a short video of the inside of a vehicle while reconnaissance was on the streets of the southeastern city of Mariupol. It begins by discovering a Russian armored car with a ‘Z’ sign on the street, followed by a tremendous sound of shelling.
At the time, Azov units were commanding military vehicles equipped with 30 mm cannons, machine guns and anti-tank missiles. They blocked the road at high speed and opened fire on the Russian armored vehicles. The attacked Russian armored vehicle was helpless, and flames soared and soon engulfed in flames. At the end of the video, the phrase ‘Z-destruction’ also appears.
On the same day, the Azov unit released a drone video of the Mariupol area, saying, “Only death can stop the enemy pilots. Because they know there will be civilian casualties and they will continue to do so.” The video showed the city and buildings on fire that had been devastated by the bombardment.
The Russian siege of Mariupol has been going on for more than two weeks. According to Ukrainian authorities, local drinking water, heating and electricity supplies have already been cut off. On the 9th, an obstetrics and gynecology hospital was destroyed by a Russian bombardment, and it is said that more than 2,500 civilians have been killed so far.
