First visit to Korea at the invitation of KOSA
Meeting with domestic SW companies scheduled

Robert F. Smith, CEO of Vista Equity Partners in the US, one of the top three global software investment companies, will visit Korea for the first time. Through this visit, CEO Smith will introduce Vistas investment philosophy and plan to review investment in domestic software companies.
On the 23rd, the Korea Software Industry Association announced that it had invited Robert F. Smith, CEO, to an event to promote the global advancement of Korean software companies and attract foreign investment to be held at Nuritm Square in Sangam-dong, Seoul on the 29th. At this event, Vista will sign a business agreement with the association stating that it will continuously review investment in domestic software companies. There will also be a meeting between KOSA member companies and CEO Smith.
Vista is a private equity fund specializing in the tech sector and is known as one of the top three global SW investment companies along with Toma Bravo and Silver Lake Partners. Its current operating value is approximately $86 billion. Mr. Smith, founder of Vista, has provided investment and advisory services to more than 75 companies. He is also considered one of the most successful African Americans.
Vista has been highly valuing the growth potential of Koreas software-as-a-service market. It has also been noted that Korea is playing the role of an innovation hub in the information and communication technology field in Asia. A KOSA official said, “Vista accepted the invitation of the Association to seek investment opportunities in promising ICT and software companies in Korea, and this visit was made. I look forward to it,” he said.
