Russian-German Anna Sorokin, known as the real-life model for Netflixs Making an Ana, is in danger of being deported from the United States. He pretended to be the heiress of a wealthy family in Europe, and was the person who deceived the New York socialites in the United States.
According to foreign media such as The New York Times and New York Post on the 15th, Sorokin was due to leave the New York State correctional facility the night before and board a flight to Frankfurt, Germany.
However, it is reported that he did not actually board the plane.
Blake Cummings, who ran his Instagram account during Sorokins custody, told The New York Times the day before that Sorokin had been chatting with him until this morning, saying he wasnt expecting the decision.
In order to avoid extradition to Germany, Sorokin previously filed a lawsuit against the decision to repatriate to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Authority.
Sorokins lawyer, Mania Arora, said the day before that he had filed documents with the court to avoid extradition to Germany.
Meanwhile, she was born outside Moscow to a truck driver outside of a wealthy family in Europe. Sorokin immigrated to Germany with her family at the age of 15.
She later moved to New York in 2014, disguising herself as Anna Delby, a German heiress who has a fortune of $60 million, and extorting more than $200,000 from New Yorks upper class.

He stayed in expensive hotels, didnt pay a penny, boarded a private jet for free, and borrowed tens of thousands of dollars from banks.
He also unsuccessfully attempted a $22 million loan to banks and funds by submitting fake financial statements in the name of creating the Anna Delby Foundation, a private, members-only art club.
Eventually, he was caught and arrested for failing to pay a total of $200 for a hotel lunch at the end of 2017.
Afterwards, Sorokin, who was recognized as a model person, was released from prison in February last year after serving four years. However, after over a month, his visa period was exceeded, and he was caught by ICE and held in custody for the past year.
Sorokin is said to have received $320,000 from Netflix, which produced the drama Making Anna out of his story.
