Netmarble announced on the 17th that it had officially launched the blockchain ecosystem ‘MBX’ and ‘MBX Wallet’ services.
According to Netmarble, MBX is a Klaytn-based blockchain ecosystem, and Netmarble plans to apply it to released games in the future. A company official said, “We are focusing on building an ecosystem in which game fun is enhanced and user participation and reasonable rewards are provided.”
When Netmarble started its blockchain service, it also started distributing the cryptocurrency MBX. From today, users can have MBX as a token exchange in the decentralized financial service Clayswap.
The ‘MBX Wallet’ application, a cryptocurrency wallet service, was also launched on the same day. You can store MBX with the app, and exchange in-game currency for tokens. In addition, MBX can be exchanged for MBX and Klaytn because it is based on Klaytn, a cryptocurrency developed by Kakao subsidiary Ground X.
In the future, Netmarble plans to launch the ‘MBX Explorer’ service that allows you to check the transaction history of MBX. In addition, games incorporating MBX such as ‘Second Country’, ‘How to Train Your Monster’, and ‘Everyone’s Marvel: Metaworld’ will be introduced sequentially.
