
The head of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Valentina Kazakova, said that the regime for the long-term stay of foreign citizens in Russia would not be limited to a specific period. TASS writes about it .
It is understood that there will be three modes of stay for foreign citizens in Russia: short-term, long-term, and permanent residence.
The draft law is undergoing conciliation procedures at the interdepartmental level.
The rights to a long-term stay of a foreign citizen will be without a specific time limit – it will be determined by the term of his status. So, for example, for a student, this is the period of study, for an employee, the period of employment, for a participant in the state program, the validity period of the corresponding status (5 years).
A foreign citizen will have to undergo an annual medical examination. After that, provide a medical document to the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the place of migration registration of a copy of the medical policy; in case of failure to fulfill these obligations, the foreign citizen is deprived of the right to a long-term stay.
Earlier it was reported that migrants will be expelled from Russia for drunk driving. Migrants are planned to be expelled from the Russian Federation for violations of traffic rules while intoxicated, as well as crimes of corruption.
