[Digital Daily Correspondent Choi Min] A comprehensive food company Our Home will move into the Jikbang Metaverse office ‘Metapolis’.
On the 18th, Jikbang CEO Ahn Seong-woo met with Ourhome Vice Chairman Ji-eun Koo at the 42 Convention Center in Metapolis on the 17th and signed a business agreement to promote remote work.
The 42 Convention Center, newly opened in Metapolis last month, is a complex space that can accommodate up to 3,000 people and hold large-scale events. The two companies signed the memorandum of understanding using the electronic contract service ‘Modusign’. The entire process of the signing ceremony, from the event to the signing, was conducted in an online virtual space.
Jikbang provided a part of Metapolis, a self-developed metaverse space that replaced the offline working environment, to improve the remote working environment of Our Home and to help digital transformation.
Our Home plans to move into Metapolis to prevent computer system errors and security issues that may occur when working from home, and to establish a free communication and non-face-to-face work environment for employees. First of all, in the first half of this year, the offline office of the customer service center will be removed and moved to the Metapolis space. We plan to expand the residence of Metapolis by reviewing ways to apply remote work to major tasks.
Jikbang has already completely eliminated its headquarters and offices last year, and all employees are working in a virtual space in Metapolis.
Jikbang plans to use its own IT technologies such as metaverse, 3D, and virtual reality to support Our Home to maximize work efficiency in a remote working environment.
Ahn Seong-woo, CEO of Jikbang, said, “I am delighted to be helping Our Home to promote remote work and digital innovation.
