According to the global market research firm Del Oro Group on the 16th, Huawei accounted for 28.7% of the global telecommunication equipment market share in terms of sales last year. This includes broadband access, microwave and optical transport, mobile core networks, radio access networks, optical transport and service provider routers, switch equipment, and more.
Following Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, ZTE, Cisco, Samsung, and Siena appeared in that order. The top seven suppliers, including Huawei, accounted for 80% of the market share.
In particular, in the market excluding China, Ericsson and Nokia were analyzed to have an even market share with 20% and 18% of Huawei.
Huawei is leading the global telecommunication equipment market by steadily expanding its position based on its innovative product portfolio and digital resilience that lead the telecommunication field.
Meanwhile, the Del Oro Group announced that the global telecommunication equipment market grew by 2% in the fourth quarter of last year alone and recorded a growth rate of 4% in a row, with a growth rate of 7% in 2021 alone.
In particular, the wireless access network and broadband access sectors achieved double-digit growth, and the total revenue of the related market increased by 20% since 2017 to approximately $100 billion. In addition, the global telecommunication equipment market is expected to grow by 4% this year.
