On the morning of March 10, representatives of Google Corporation announced that now only free programs can be downloaded from the Google Play application store.
This decision in the company is associated with the inability to establish normal interaction between users from Russia and global payment systems. In the near future, it will be impossible to pay for a subscription, buy an application, or in general any monetized digital content on the Play platform.
At the same time, it is separately noted that support for previously paid software in future updates will remain the same, no one will turn off existing programs and games, we are talking about all new digital purchases of users within the PlayStore.
Those developers who themselves want to remain popular and in demand among the Russian audience are invited to significantly increase the duration of the free trial period for using applications or completely abandon the monetization of software products for an indefinite period until the situation normalizes.
