In the sense that the transition committee will determine the framework of the government organization that will lead the Yoon Seok-yeol government for the next five years, attention from inside and outside the government is focused on the actions of the transition committee, which will be put into operation this weekend with a signboard ceremony.
On the 17th, Kim Eun-hye, spokesperson for the transition committee, announced that they had appointed Professor Chang-yang Lee of KAIST as secretary of the Economics Division 2, Kosan Tide Institute CEO, Yun-jong Wang, professor of Dongduk Womens University, and Woong-hwan Yoo, head of SK Telecoms ESG Innovation Group, as transition committee members.
In the Social Welfare and Culture Division, Rep. Lim Ja was appointed as secretary, Kim Do-sik, a close aide to Ahn Cheol-soo, the chairman of the transition committee, Seoul Deputy Mayor of Political Affairs, Baek Kyung-ran, a professor at Sungkyunkwan University, and Ahn Sang-hoon, a professor at Seoul National University.
In the Science and Technology Education Division, Rep. Park Seong-joong served as secretary, and Hanyang University Professor Kim Chang-kyung and Seoul National University Professor Nam Ki-tae were appointed.
Regarding Park Seong-joong, secretary of the transition committee said, “I am a member of the National Assembly who has deep affection and insight in the broadcasting and communications field. It is showing interest in even the most detailed policies in the telecommunication field.”
In addition, Professor Kim Chang-kyung said, “He has all the knowledge and administrative experience in the field of science and technology, and recently he is conducting deep research activities that have earned him the title of evangelist of the 4th industrial revolution. It will help a lot in realizing the digital platform government promise.”
