Free nationwide schools starting next month
LG CNS ushered in an era of technology that enhances the effect of artificial intelligence learning in smartphone apps based on the contents of 105 elementary, middle, and high school English textbooks.
Unlike existing English education apps that can only learn within a given content, it can recommend similar answers and help educate students by level. The company plans to provide this smart app to elementary, middle and high school teachers and students nationwide for free.
LG CNS announced on the 20th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with YBM, an education publishing company, for cooperation in foreign language education services based on artificial intelligence on the 18th. If LG CNS has previously signed an agreement with Genius Education, Dong-A Publishing, NE Eungyeong, Daekyo, and Emergency Education, there are a total of six textbook publishers that have partnered with them. Based on such extensive cooperation, LG CNS plans to load a total of 105 elementary, middle, and high school English textbook contents into the AI tutor app Speaking Class.
Speaking Class is a customized AI tutor service developed by LG CNS as part of its social contribution. Teachers can directly compose and create AI English learning content. Through this, the company explained that education at eye level is possible according to grade level or learning level. An LG CNS official said that from April, the speaking class English textbook service will be provided free of charge to elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students across the country.
Teachers can use the English textbook service free of charge if they sign up for the speaking class membership by using the official email address or the education office email address. Students can use it when the teacher registers as an English textbook service student in the Speaking Class app. Shin-kyun Hyun, head of LG CNSs D&A business division, said that the companys digital innovation capabilities will be generously supported so that AI-based customized education can be realized in the public education field.
