US Delta Air Lines is considering an order for 100 Boeing 737 Max aircraft from Boeing, Reuters reported on the 18th.
Delta currently does not operate the 737 Max aircraft. And thats positive for Boeings stock, as CEO Ed Bastian announced in a conference call in January that he was not considering an order for a 737 Max, Reuters said. Boeing 737 Max crashes in 2018-2019 resulted in flight suspensions and order cancellations.
Delta Air Lines operates more than 800 aircraft and is said to have an order for about 400 aircraft, including replacement of obsolete aircraft.
Delta Air Lines shares closed at $37.15 on the New York Stock Exchange on the 17th and Boeing at $190.19.
