The American crypto exchange Coinbase has announced the start of blocking over 25,000 Russian addresses that may be involved in illegal activities.
“Coinbase has blocked more than 25,000 addresses associated with Russian individuals or entities that we believe are engaged in illegal activities,” the exchange said in a statement.
Coinbase will identify these addresses and share them with the government to further support sanctions compliance.
