Dr. Cheol-Hwa Song from the Innovation System Safety Research Department of the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute was awarded the NURETH Fellow at the 19th International Nuclear Hydrothermal Conference. Her Dr. Cheol-Hwa Song has been commended for her leading achievements over the past 37 years of her research and development of hydrothermal mechanics and safety improvement of nuclear reactors.
Dr. Song said on the 16th, “The selection of a NURTEH Fellow is more honorable because it is based on the review and recommendation of internationally renowned fellow scholars.” I support you,” he said.
Thermohydrodynamics is a core technology field that studies coolant behavior and heat transfer phenomena so that a nuclear reactor operated at high temperature and high pressure can be safely designed and operated. The NURETH Fellow is one of the highest awards given by the American Atomic Energy Society, led by the thermal and hydraulic power sector, and has been selected every two years since 2013.
