Virtual asset AML/CFT practical course
[Reporter E-Daily Kim Gook-bae] The Korea Blockchain Association announced on the 23rd that it would open an anti-money laundering training course specializing in virtual asset transactions with the Insurance Training Institute.
This training will be held online and offline on the 13th of next month as a practical course on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing of virtual assets. The target is the CEO of virtual asset companies and those working in anti-money laundering work. This year, the curriculum has been reorganized to broadly learn the latest issues and cases related to anti-money laundering of virtual assets.
In particular, it is expected to help prepare for the comprehensive examination of the Financial Information Analysis Institute of the Financial Services Commission, which is currently being conducted on virtual asset exchanges. Previously, the association and the Insurance Training Institute opened a course to strengthen practical competency necessary for the implementation of anti-money laundering obligations of virtual asset business operators for the first time in Korea last year. 132 people participated in the first and second education.
Chairman Oh Gap-su said, “The association will continue to provide education and support to create a healthy ecosystem in the virtual asset market and to strengthen the capabilities of industry workers to prevent money laundering.”
