[E-Daily Reporter Yoon-Jeong Lee] 3D Factory, a company specializing in metaverse platforms, completed the development of the ultra-realistic metaverse prototype service platform signed with the Seoul Economic Policy Division and the geospatial information officer in April, and started trial operation from May 1. It was announced on the 22nd.
The prototype connects 3D spatial information produced to the same level as the actual photo with virtual infrastructure construction and economic activities of Seoul’s major policies, provides prototypes and APIs for the implementation of administrative services in each field of Seoul, and provides a metaverse of Seoul in the future. It also includes information on the development plan and roadmap joint development to be followed.
3D Factory Director Chu Seong-sik said, “The Seoul Metropolitan Government’s ultra-realistic metaverse prototype is to provide a metaverse platform that all citizens can enjoy without time and space restrictions and to present the metaverse operating service standards.” The private and public sectors have been closely cooperating since last year to achieve successful outcomes of these projects.”
3D Factory was selected as the only future unicorn company in the metaverse field by the Ministry of Science and ICT in May of last year, and in October, it won the Minister of Science, Technology and Information and Communication Award, the highest award at the 4th Industrial Revolution Grand Prize in the due diligence-based metaverse market. It is proving its unrivaled growth potential and technological prowess.
