U.S. toy company sells $145,000 figure of President Zelensky of Ukraine. The figure, made for the purpose of collecting funds for war victims, was sold out within a day of being released despite the high price.
According to the New York Post on the 17th, American toy company Citizenbrick produced a figure wearing a military-colored outfit in the image of President Zelensky. The company donated $145,388 of the total proceeds from the sale to a charitable organization that distributes medical supplies to Ukraine.
Figures of President Zelensky sold for $100 each. In addition, small Molotov cocktails with Ukrainian flags were sold for $5 each. The figures of the two ends were sold out in one day after online sales first started on the 5th. Those who heard the news later requested additional production.
The company resumed sales on the 16th by producing additional Molotov cocktail figures with President Zelensky. Citizenbrick said, “Its sold out. We sold all the figures and raised $145,388.” He said, “It is difficult to make additional productions, so please consider donating them directly to charities.”
